Hi-Lite Machine Company builds custom machinery. That means short runs, tight tolerances, weldments, unique parts, and constant problem-solving.
We are motivated to find the right Machinist to help fuel our growth - and are willing to negotiate compensation for the right person.
What Youll Do
- Set up and run CNC mills and lathes
- Program at the control (conversational and/or G-code editing)
- Read and interpret prints with GD&T
- Select tooling and work holding without being told every step
- Machine precision components for custom machine builds and subcontract work
- Perform your own inspections and stand behind your parts
- Optimize setups and improve efficiency
- Safely operate overhead cranes
Youll move between jobs. Youll solve problems. Youll make decisions that matter.
What We Expect
- Proven experience in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment
- Strong independent setup and troubleshooting ability
- Confidence programming at the machine
- Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and materials
- High standards for quality and finish
- Professional attitude and accountability
If you need constant direction or prefer repetitive production work, this role wont be a good fit.
