Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization (SCIO) is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.

For more than 37 years, SCIO has worked to transform lives, one family at a time through our three impactful programs: the farmers market, Family Pathways supervised visitation program, and Bridgeway & Beyond transitional living program. Our Executive Director will serve as the organization’s chief executive and public face, providing strategic leadership while building strong relationships with staff, Board members, donors, funders, faith communities, businesses, civic leaders, and community partners.

This is a dynamic leadership role for someone who enjoys both big-picture strategy and hands‑on engagement. The ideal candidate is a strong fundraiser and relationship‑builder who is equally comfortable writing a grant, meeting with a donor, supporting staff, speaking to a community group, collaborating with the Board, or representing SCIO at a local event.

• Provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operational oversight of the organization.
• Lead program oversight, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain a strong team across all programs.
• Supervise and support the leadership team while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and mission‑driven culture.
• Oversee organizational finances, budgeting, compliance, resource allocation, risk management, and long‑term sustainability.

• Lead fundraising and resource development, including donor cultivation, major gifts, special events, and revenue growth.
• Research, write, and manage grants and cultivate relationships with foundations, corporations, and private funders.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with faith communities, donors, businesses, civic leaders, social service organizations, and community partners.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors on governance, board management, strategic planning, financial oversight, fundraising, and organizational development.
• Serve as a visible ambassador and spokesperson for SCIO at community, civic, faith‑based, and professional events.
• Speak publicly and communicate effectively to inspire others to support SCIO’s mission.

• Identify opportunities for collaboration, program growth, and increased community impact.
• Lead with a trauma‑focused, strength‑based approach and a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services, nonprofit management, business, public administration, or a related field.
• Four or more years of management or leadership experience in a nonprofit or community‑based organization.
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, and/or resource development.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit operations, budgeting, financial management, and organizational sustainability.
• Desire to work with individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use, social disenfranchisement, or other barriers to stability.
• Familiarity with Sheboygan County’s social service systems and community landscape is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, planning, and relationship‑building skills.
• Strategic and results‑oriented thinker who can set ambitious goals, measure performance, manage people and resources, meet deadlines, and make difficult decisions when necessary.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to inspire, educate, and move people to action.
• Strong networking skills and enthusiasm for being visible and engaged in the community.

• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends for program needs, Board meetings, fundraising events, community engagements, and speaking opportunities

• Competitive salary: $70,000–$77,000 annually
