Responsibilities & Qualifications- Work 12‑hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Weekend rotation every 4th weekend
- Holiday rotation every other holiday
- No on‑call responsibilities
- Request time off approved 7 days in advance
- 2 years of LDRP experience required
- First‑time travelers accepted
- Patient ratios: 1:1 laboring, 1:2 active labor, 1:3 couplets
- Care for patients 32 weeks and above; majority lower risk
- Common diagnoses include hypertension, diabetes, elevated BMI, substance abuse, medication management
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring
- Skills:
cervical exams, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV starts/management, Pitocin, baby catching/receiving, APGAR, basic breastfeeding education - Comfortable with all aspects of post‑partum care from transition to discharge for mother and baby
- Familiar with technology: EPIC EMR (preferred), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, QS Centricity monitors
- Scrubs provided by facility

This healthcare facility is a 131‑bed medical center serving as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The Labor and Delivery unit features 12 LDRP beds, 2 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 10‑bed Level II NICU. The unit averages 60‑80 births per month and provides comprehensive support, including 24/7 neonatal nurse practitioners, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and anesthesia services.
The facility utilizes modern technology and equipment to ensure quality patient care and maintains strong support staff including technicians, phlebotomy services, and lactation consultants.
