Advanced Practice Provider – Urology (Full Time) in Sheboygan, WI. This position will work 32 hours per week.

Job Summary

The APP Specialty at Prevea is an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) who provides specialized healthcare services tailored to the specific department. This role operates within the scope of the specialty department and includes collaboration and coordination with physicians and other health professionals regarding clinical practice, education, consultation, research, and program development.

What you will do
  • Provide assessment, evaluation, and management to patients, including minor, acute, chronic, and episodic illnesses and injuries; perform follow‑up exams as required.
  • Collaborate with patients to review health history and wellness information, provide health counseling and education, and advise patients and families on future health plans and illness prevention.
  • Offer follow‑up services as appropriate to the specialty, including ordering diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing pharmacological agents, and recommending non‑pharmacological treatments.
  • Maintain and review patient records, charts, and pertinent information, documenting all details in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other providers to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring the best possible care and outcomes.
  • Provide case management services to assist clients and families with arrangements or referrals to needed services.
Education Qualifications
  • Graduate of a master’s‑level nurse practitioner program OR a accredited physician assistant program.
Experience Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of work experience in a clinical setting within a health care organization (Preferred).
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of specialty‑specific techniques for diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases, including symptom recognition, treatment methods, medication interactions, and preventive care practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors.
  • Ability to build relationships with patients and peers.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
  • Ability to handle and process confidential information.
  • Foster teamwork through effective written and verbal communication.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must possess either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license/certification. All candidates must have CPR/Basic Life Support.
  • Nurse Practitioner:
    Current Wisconsin RN license or compact equivalent with certification through ANCC or AANPCB (required upon hire).
  • Physician Assistant:
    Licensed in Wisconsin with mandatory certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (required upon hire).
  • CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from an approved program (required upon hire).
