Building & Grounds Intern

Acuity is seeking a Building & Grounds Intern to assist with building and grounds maintenance for Acuity properties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Performs general building maintenance / custodial tasks including cleaning, painting, and preventative maintenance.

* Maintains grounds including mowing, fertilizing, watering, turf repair, mulching, and pruning.

* Plants, fertilizes, weeds and waters annual flowers.

* Performs landscape construction projects including planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, and perennials.

* Cleans and places interior silk plants and galleria displays.

* Shovels snow.

* Sets up and takes down special events including the Acuity Health Challenge, Acuity Fun Fest and Town Hall venues.

* Regular and predictable attendance.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Building and landscape maintenance experience preferred.

OTHER

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Takes initiative.

* Understands instruction, asks questions, and receives feedback.

* Willingness to work outdoors in any type of weather.

* Possesses a record of safe work habits.

* Drivers License, preferred.
