Job Title:
Grocery Clerk I –
Reports To: Center Store Manager. As a Grocery Clerk, your role is to keep the store organized, shelves stocked, and products fresh, ensuring guests can find what they need quickly. Your attention to detail and friendly service create a welcoming atmosphere.

• Provide helpful service: greet, answer questions, and address guest concerns.
• Stock & display: keep products fresh, properly rotated, and well‑stocked.
• Offer assistance: help guests locate products and provide suggestions.
• Receiving & inventory support: unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory.
• Collaboration:
  
  work with the Grocery Department Manager and associate team to meet goals.
• Clean & organize: keep the department clean, sanitized, and tidy.
• Problem‑solving: address guest concerns with professionalism.
• Meet goals: ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
• Honor commitments: maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences.
• Support the team: perform other duties as assigned.

• A helpful attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including lifting techniques and box‑cutter safety.
• Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, walk‑behind lifts, balers, and compactors (training is provided).

• Must stand for long periods and work in a cooler; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Full range of upper body motion required to lift product and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Functional sensory abilities needed to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
• May lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

The Grocery Clerk I is a part‑time position. The schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery store environment.

• Weekly pay & premium pay: hourly associates are paid weekly; part‑time receives a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays; full‑time receives time and a half.
