Summary:
Under the leadership of the Directors of Business Development and other leadership and in partnership with the Account Executive team, the Community Relations Liaison will serve as a subject‑matter expert for each of the Rogers service lines. Leveraging knowledge from operational and clinical leadership, the Liaison will promote Rogers services to key stakeholders in the community through territory management, a traditional sales model, strategic planning, and implementation.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining referral relationships, meeting quotas, and adapting to an ever‑changing marketplace.
- Develop, manage, and further existing and prospective referral alliances, identifying new partnership opportunities.
- Advance strategic referent relationships and enhance alliance workflows and standards.
- Plan and implement proactive growth tactics on a daily basis.
- Engage patients and providers with a solution‑focused consultative sales approach, including face‑to‑face and virtual meetings, cold calls, and networking events such as Lunch & Learns, breakfasts, dinners, and professional conferences.
- Maintain frequent contact with referents via phone, email, social media, and other communications.
- Monitor expenditures and utilize budget allocation effectively.
- Plan and execute continuing education events, including webinars and in‑person programs.
- Use CRM software to record all referent interactions and complete monthly operational reports.
- Submit expense reports in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold Compassion, Excellence, and Accountability values.
- Participate in hospital committees, performance improvement meetings, and team projects as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, psychology, social work, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of business development and/or related experience.
- Experience with strategic planning, new business development, and negotiation.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel and other common software programs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively (approximately 80% outside the office).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a dynamic territory, and meet activity, census, and individual objectives.
- Logical thinking, discretion, and decision‑making skills for initiating and implementing policies.
- Presentation skills for engaging individuals, small groups, and large audiences.
- Commitment to ongoing knowledge development, including training on behavioral health programming, diagnoses, and trends.
- Work largely independently with frequent travel by car and/or air.
- Must be physically able to perform job duties and pass a licensed physician physical exam.
- Requires strong emotional intelligence, logical thinking, and discretion in employee relations.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively, with reasonable accommodations if needed.
Approximately 80% of time outside the office; overnight and weekend travel as necessary, varying by market.
