Job Overview
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Security Officer I to ensure the safety and security of people and property holas Hospital. The role includes patrolling assigned areas, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to all emergency requests and alarms.

Security Officer I’s provide safety and security services to ensure the well‑being of both people and property by patrolling assigned areas, enforcing rules and regulations, responding to emergencies, and providing assistance and coordination. HSHS Security officers are often the first or last person patients, visitors and colleagues encounter, and are expected to be professional, courteous, and resilient in the hospital environment.
CompensationPay Range: $18.50 – $26.83. The actual pay rate will be based on factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
Education Requirements- High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training (required)
- Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or military service (preferred)
- One year of experience with knowledge of private security functions obtained through education or work experience such as military, public safety or fire department (preferred)
- Valid state driver’s license; must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles (required)
- Successfully complete Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Certification within the first 90 days of employment (preferred, if utilized at the affiliate)
