Weatherization Technician

Overview

Partners for Community Development, Inc. has an excellent opportunity to learn weatherization and home improvement skills while making a tangible difference in the community. This position is located in Sheboygan and serves the Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Ozaukee counties.

• 4 Day work-week, Mondays - Thursdays
• Competitive pay – $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience

The Weatherization Technician performs duties related to rehabilitation and weatherization of customers’ homes, including insulation of attics, sidewalls and floors, installation of vents, weather‑stripping, home repair, and energy measures.

• Willingness to learn home improvement and weatherization/insulation techniques, and how to use diagnostic equipment to assess energy efficiency
• Ability to read and decipher work orders and perform basic math related to construction and material estimation
• Ability to interact well with diverse personalities
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, work in extreme weather, use ladders up to four stories, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 60 lbs
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, auto insurance, and good driving record
