Leads facility and equipment installations for the Sheboygan site, including new and used machinery. May assist other Polymer Group facilities as needed. Supports manufacturing teams by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, and performs scheduled preventative maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing:

Manages and directs installation of new and used equipment for Sheboygan.

May require travel to other facilities within the Polymer Group to provide assistance in the installation of equipment or electrical systems.

Design, engineer, and install electrical circuits following National Electrical Code (NEC).Coordinates and works with outside contractors and inspectors.

Locate and repair faults in extruders, materials systems, facility power distribution systems and any electrical related systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building.

Troubleshoot control systems with PLC and industrial PC control systems.

Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC drives.

Troubleshoot the startup of new equipment installation.

Prepare purchase orders for parts and supplies needed.

Must be prepared to work overtime when needed.

Make repairs to mechanical hydraulic, pneumatic and other industrial systems.

Must perform job in a manner that is safe for all employees as well as self.

Will need to be providing “on call” stand by response to emergency repairs when assigned.

Must continue education needed to maintain electrical journeyman license.

Must have valid driver’s license and professional license.

Must have own tools and storage cabinets.

What You Need to Succeed:

Requires an electrical journeyman license.

Requires a two year degree in related field or a minimum of 10-years of experience/combination in facilities maintenance and machine installation and troubleshooting.

Must be knowledgeable of OSHA plus state codes and regulations as they relate to job assignments.

Excellent written, verbal and communication skills

Ability to work with little supervision and give direction to other tradesmen

Self driven team player

Adaptable and eager to learn

High level of time management ability

Capable of performing under pressure and keeping track of multiple issues simultaneously
