Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician for a first-shift opportunity in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Position Overview
The Diesel Technician performs diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and major component overhauls on heavy-duty commercial trucks while maintaining dealership and manufacturer quality standards. This position performs work independently, documents repair recommendations, mentors less experienced technicians, and participates in ongoing OEM training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose heavy-duty truck mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair diesel engines, drive trains, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems
- Perform major engine and drivetrain component replacements
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently
- Conduct road testing as needed
- Maintain dealership safety and quality standards
- Organize workflow for maximum productivity
- Participate in continual technical training and OEM development
- Mentor developing diesel technicians when appropriate
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, First Shift, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (7:30 AM-4:30 PM option). No nights, no weekends.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years heavy-duty diesel technician experience required
- Diesel engine diagnostic experience required
- Heavy-duty truck electrical diagnostic experience required
- Brake, steering, driveline & transmission repair experience required
- Ability to use computer-based diagnostic equipment required
- Must provide your own professional tool set required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
- Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) required
- Stable employment history required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational or technical training preferred
- OEM training preferred
- ASE certification preferred
- EPA 608/609 certification preferred
- International truck experience preferred (other heavy truck OEM experience accepted)
- Cummins engine experience preferred
