Job Description HR Generalist – Scoudouc, NBEmployment Type: 12 Month Contract - Full-time
Job Summary: The HR Generalist supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring effective employee relations, compliance, recruitment, onboarding, and HR program administration across the facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining a positive workplace culture, supporting operational needs, and promoting consistent HR practices.
Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Engagement- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns.
- Support conflict resolution, investigations, and corrective action processes.
- Promote employee engagement through communication, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
- Foster a respectful, professional, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Coordinate full‑cycle recruitment including job postings, interviews, reference checks, and offers.
- Organize and facilitate onboarding, orientation, and new hire documentation.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and digital records.
- Support HRIS data entry, reporting, and record accuracy.
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee inquiries.
- Prepare HR‑related documentation including letters, forms, and reports.
- Track attendance, leaves of absence, and compliance activities.
- Support adherence to company policies, employment legislation, and safety regulations.
- Assist with workplace investigations and documentation.
- Coordinate training programs, including safety, compliance, and skill development.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all record‑keeping requirements.
- Partner with supervisors and managers on staffing, performance, and employee initiatives.
- Support HR programs including performance reviews, engagement surveys, and recognition programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the HR function.
- 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Post‑secondary education in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline (CHRP designation an asset).
- Strong understanding of employment standards and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with HRIS platforms; UKG Pro experience is considered an asset.
