Overview
Operates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical area. Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, digital image management for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician as required. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.
ResponsibilitiesOperates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical area. Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, digital image management for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician as required. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.
QualificationsEducation: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and possess a current ARRT registry.
Experience: Less than one year of work experience. At least three months preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
- 1) Completes hospital orientation and training.
- 2) Ability to manage sometime stressful work environment.
- 3) Flexible to schedule; will work additional hours/shifts in situations of high census, adverse weather conditions and other employee absences or vacancies as requested. Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.
- 4) Ability to answer phone and relay messages.
- 5) Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel.
- 6) Ability to deal efficiently and continuously with all hospital personnel.
- 7) Ability to work in a team environment and take criticism.
- 8) Ability to operate computer terminal.
