Position: Mechanic - Helen Keller Hospital, Plant Operations, Full Time, 1st Shift

Overview

  • Direct the cleaning and housekeeping of the team assigned equipment, spaces, building and/or grounds.
  • Direct the maintenance of assigned equipment and the completion of the team’s work orders, preventive maintenance and other records.
  • Oversee repair of equipment and physical facilities. Preventive maintenance tasks and maintenance inspections.
  • Assist in applicable utility installation, operation, maintenance and repair.
  • Inspect for and report or correct code and safety violations.
  • Oversee the proper completion and entry of purchase orders.
  • Respond to fire and other emergencies.
  • Manage time properly to insure timeliness of work order and PM completion.
  • Complete maintenance documentation in a timely and accurate fashion. Gather missing information for addition to the record.
    • Qualifications

    Education:

    HS/GED with three years Industrial/Maintenance trade school or college.

    Experience:

    Five years related experience or comparable combination of education and experience in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment. Leadership experience required.
