Full-Time Live-In Housekeeper – East Suffolk Coast
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to join a welcoming family at their beautiful, contemporary county home on the stunning East Suffolk Coast
.

This is a live-in role within a supportive household team, where you’ll work alongside another housekeeper, a chef/house manager, and a groundsman. The position offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to work in a peaceful coastal location.

As Housekeeper, you will take pride in maintaining the home to the highest standard.

Duties include:

• Daily housekeeping — cleaning, laundry, ironing, and bed changing.
• Wardrobe management and care of specialist fabrics.
• Deep cleaning on a rota basis.
• Cooking simple, healthy family meals (including vegetarian options, with excellent cookbooks available to follow).
• Assisting the chef with meal prep and menu planning when required.
• Supporting entertaining and family gatherings.
• Feeding and walking the family’s dogs, occasional care for cats, and plant care when the principals are away.

This is a role with some flexibility: one housekeeper starts at 6:45am, while the other begins at 9am, with days typically finishing around 6/7pm. Occasional weekend work will be required, with time off in lieu provided.

• Proven housekeeping experience in a private household.
• Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy with a positive and friendly nature.
• A good cook, confident with healthy everyday meals.
• High standards, an eye for detail, and pride in presentation.
• Comfortable working as part of a small household team but also happy to take initiative when working alone.
• Confident around animals — the family has 2 large dogs and 3 cats.
• Full driving licence essential.
• Non-smoker preferred.

• Salary
  : £40,000 including accommodation.
• Accommodation
  : A fully furnished, warm lodge on the estate — just a short walk to the main house. The lodge includes a fully fitted kitchen, 55” TV, super-fast broadband, and all modern comforts.
