Clearance Requirement: Applicants must undergo a government security investigation and meet eligibility criteria, including U.S. Citizenship, with a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
License/Certification Requirement: Preferred - Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license, or equivalent.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment in the data center operates at peak efficiency. This includes planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response. The technician reports to a Lead CET and Chief Engineer, interacts with Customer representatives and third-party vendors, and acts as the focal point for facility operations. Data center equipment supporting mission-critical servers must maintain >99.999% uptime.
- High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years' experience; strong communication skills.
- Preferred:
Journeyman Electrician or HVAC license or equivalent. - Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
- Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds; demonstrate physical strength and stamina.
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder unaided.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climb scaffolds, lifts, and ladders.
- Perform routine physical activities, including walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching.
- Good vision (corrected), color vision, hearing, and communication skills.
- Recognize problems or potential issues; apply rules to specific problems; synthesize information; see details at close range; understand spoken information.
