About the Role

The Lanes Group is looking for a CCTV Engineer to manage our increased workload across the growing network.

  • Location:

    Sheffield
  • Hours:

    Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Salary:
    Up to £16 per hour, depending on experience

The job
  • You will use CCTV equipment to measure the heights and depths of pipes, and to check for any damage that needs to be recorded (e.g., debris or grease build‑up).
  • Initially the role will involve accessing pipes via manhole covers to put the CCTV camera down the pipe with accuracy.
  • You will then carry out the majority of the work from your van, which has been installed with the CCTV and computer system to support the work.
  • You will use a tablet to keep records of the work you are carrying out, which involves crucial paperwork to report back to clients.
Key skills required
  • Full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
  • Ability to work in a 2‑person team.
  • IT skills including Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • OX19 preferred.
  • CSCS card preferred.

You’ll be polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public, and observe all health and safety procedures. Being flexible is essential, as some jobs may require early starts and/or weekend working.
