MOT Tester​/ Technician

The Role

As an MOT Tester / Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT testing, servicing, repairs and general mechanical work across a wide range of vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out MOT tests to DVSA standards and ensuring vehicles meet legal safety and environmental requirements.
Diagnosing mechanical faults and identifying repair requirements.
Completing servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs, including brakes, suspension and general vehicle repairs.
Using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Completing work to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Maintaining accurate records of inspections, MOTs, repairs and servicing.
Communicating professionally with customers and explaining any work or repairs required.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
Following all company health and safety procedures.

About You

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and takes genuine pride in their work.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician.
A valid MOT Tester qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory
Strong mechanical knowledge and practical repair experience.
Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
The ability to diagnose faults and work efficiently to resolve issues.
A full UK driving licence.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.

MOT Tester training may be considered for the right experienced Mechanic.
