Site based Maintenance Electrician (Weekends & Evenings) - Sheffield - National Facilities Management Organisation:

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our client on a permanent basis, who are a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top-tier services across public sector and hospitality industries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, as they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

This is a site based opportunity, located in Sheffield City Centre, South Yorkshire - free parking is available on site.

Please note:

This role is predominantly evening and weekend based, in line with the site’s events schedule. The successful candidate must be comfortable working regular evening and weekend shifts and be flexible to meet the operational requirements of the site. Any additional hours worked will be compensated through TOIL (Time Off in Lieu).

Package

Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Predominantly evening and weekend working, scheduled around the site's events calendar (37 hours per week)
Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment
Qualifications

Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
