This field-based, remote-working role sits within our surveying team, providing technical support to key and national account clients and to the sales team. You will travel to client sites to survey requirements, assess installation constraints, and meet clients to confirm their needs and explain solutions clearly. Back at your base, you will design compliant fire and security systems in line with the relevant standards, produce estimates, technical specifications, and scaled drawings, and compile complete quotations that are submitted on time and in each client's agreed format.
You will manage client expectations by ensuring contractual service requirements are understood and reflected in every proposal, follow up on quotes and technical queries, and work closely with sales, account management, and installation colleagues so that designs are practical to deliver and commercially sound. The role calls for self-motivation, confident communication, strong collaboration skills, and solid technical knowledge of fire and security systems and their installation, along with a commitment to site safety and to keeping up with changes in standards and industry best practice.
