PLM Systems Administrator / Engineering Data Governance Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking a PLM Systems Administrator / Engineering Data Governance Lead to oversee engineering data governance and product lifecycle management (PLM) processes across the organization. In this role, you will serve as the primary owner of engineering data control and Teamcenter administration, ensuring data integrity, revision accuracy, and standardized product development workflows. This is a highly collaborative position supporting engineering, IT, and customer stakeholders while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary owner of engineering data governance and PLM alignment within Siemens Teamcenter and Siemens NX environments
  • Manage product data control across customer-managed Teamcenter environments, ensuring lifecycle integrity, revision accuracy, and compliance standards
  • Lead Engineering Change Request (ECR) workflows to align customer requirements with internal engineering standards
  • Act as the main liaison between Engineering, IT, corporate PLM teams, and customer stakeholders regarding PLM processes and system utilization
  • Establish and maintain data standards, workflow alignment, and enterprise integration expectations
  • Provide onboarding, training, and user support for engineers, interns, and new hires on Teamcenter workflows and PLM best practices
  • Support CAD and IT teams with software installation, system setup, testing, and Teamcenter development activities
  • Drive workflow optimization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CAD and PLM system issues to minimize disruptions
  • Champion engineering data quality, governance, and downstream usability across engineering and manufacturing functions
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in PLM administration, engineering systems, CAD support, or engineering data governance
  • Strong experience supporting Siemens Teamcenter and Siemens NX
  • Solid understanding of product lifecycle management, engineering change processes (ECR/ECO), and revision control
  • Experience working in customer-managed PLM environments
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and training skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Apps or similar technologies
  • Background in engineering systems integration and enterprise workflow optimization
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in engineering operations

  • May require occasional interaction with customer-managed systems and external stakeholders
  • This is a U.S. Government contract position; U.S. Citizenship is required
