Compensation: Up to $50/hr

Are you a licensed therapist aspiring to become a leader? Join our dynamic skilled nursing team as an Assistant Director of Therapy! This position provides a clinician the experience of training, mentoring, and shaping high-quality care, all in a collaborative environment that also provides generous work‑life balance. You will be required to travel within Michigan counties based on need. This hybrid position will see you perform as a clinician while providing support to the Director of Therapy, as needed or during their absence.

As a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, you’ll provide physical therapy or occupational therapy services to patients impaired by physical dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of treatment plans. As an Assistant Director of Therapy, you’ll assume delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of rehabilitation services according to professional standards of practice in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

• Provides physical therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the A.P.T.A. for the Physical Therapist Assistant or the ethical standards of the A.O.T.A. for the Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Supervises the rehabilitation department in the absence of the Director of Therapy.
• Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Coordinates with other disciplines (PT, OT, SLP) for effective total patient care.
• Provides leadership and direction to interdisciplinary team for patient discharge planning, following Medicare guidelines.
• Strong written and communication skills to develop reports, correspondence, and analysis.
• Strong verbal communication skills to educate, influence and support rehabilitation staff and other disciplines.
• Ability to understand and react effectively to the needs of the various clinical age populations significant to everyday practice, evidenced through academic/clinical education and training and/or experience.
• Ability to travel periodically to various work facilities, providing own transportation.

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist program.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing or Post‑Acute Rehabilitation Facility.
• Ability to exercise mature judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending solutions to provide effective rehabilitation services.
• Valid Driver’s License.
