Machining Manager

A well established manufacturing organization is seeking a Machining Manager with a strong CNC milling background and hands on WorkNC experience to lead its milling operations. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong floor leadership, and the ability to support complex machining work in a production environment.

This position is intended for someone who has grown through CNC machining and is comfortable leading both people and process.

• Lead daily operations for the CNC milling department
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet production and delivery requirements
• Assign personnel and manage workflow across CNC milling operations
• Provide technical direction to CNC operators and programmers
• Support complex CNC setups, troubleshooting, and machining strategy
• Oversee machining of large and complex components, including weldments
• Ensure NC programs, setup sheets, and job documentation are accurate and current
• Communicate job priorities, engineering changes, and quality requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in machining processes, tooling, and efficiency
• Ensure safety, quality, and production standards are consistently met

• Strong CNC milling background with leadership or supervisory experience
• Hands on experience using WorkNC CAM software is required
• Experience with 3 axis and 5 axis CNC milling operations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD and T
• Experience machining large or complex parts, including welded structures
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing floor environment
