CNC​/Manual Milling Machinist — ACER Platform Specialist

A day in the shop

Your morning kicks off by tooling up an ACER mill, dialing in offsets, and running first-article parts. By midday, you might switch to a manual lathe to turn a critical feature, verify every dimension with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators, then finish on the grinder. When a new job comes in, you review the blueprint, interpret GD&T, and choose the best setup across mills, lathes, saws, a boring mill, or a drill press to hit spec the first time.

• Set up, adjust, and operate both manual and CNC machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders, saws, boring mills, and drill presses)
• Inspect work throughout the process using precision measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Run manual mills, lathes, and grinders with confidence and consistency
• Read and work directly from engineering blueprints, applying GD&T

• Proven hands-on experience on manual mills, lathes, and grinders
• Fluency in blueprint interpretation and GD&T
• Comfort using 2D drawings and precision metrology tools (calipers and micrometers)
