Seasonal Campground Recreation Attendant

PAY RATE

$13.75 per hour (Up to 600 hours per season)

Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additionally, eligible seasonal employees will receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked. For details, .

Work season begins in Mid May through Mid September. Holiday and weekend availability is important in hiring consideration. Preferred applicants must especially be available to work between August 15 and September 15 to receive consideration.

Work activities in this position primarily involve the operation and general maintenance of the campground facility. Must be available for most weekend and holiday dates.

• Ability to operate a point of sale system.
• Monitors sundry items and firewood. Notifies Operations when supplies are needed.
• Monitors Park visitors to ensure order and safety.
• Ability to lift bundles of firewood.
• Ability to operate a utility vehicle.
• Cleans work site building daily or more often as needed.
• Cares for campsites, keeps grounds litter free. Reports maintenance needs to Operations.
• Maintains established park rules and regulations.
• Assists in preparation of daily receipt of reports.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to positively interact with co-workers, supervisors and park visitors.
• Ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
• Ability to perform cash and credit transactions quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
• Physical demands can be moderate at times.
• Must have a valid Michigan Drivers License.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
