Job Description
1. Be able to evaluate past student education and placement test results to determine needs for high school equivalency completion.- Ability to instruct individuals at different skill levels within the same classroom.
- Implement curriculum that will adequately cover required material for course completion or subject understanding.
- Provide structured stand-up lectures and individual instruction based on NCCCS Content Standards and requirements as assigned in ABE / ASE transition classes.
- Follow classroom and administrative requirements for monitoring and testing.
- Maintain preparedness for daily classroom instruction (i.e. materials needed, instructional plans, etc.)
- Register students for classes each semester.
- Contact students who are absent from class to acknowledge their absence and encourage their return. Maintain positive relationships with the students and their families/advocates/guardians.
- Communicates effectively with the administration team through emails and phone calls by responding promptly.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Comfort with using technology in the classroom.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience in Education, Adult Education, or a closely related field.
