Join a growing Aerospace / Specialty Chemical manufacturing organization as an Asset Care & Reliability Manager at a new Specialty Chemical plant in Shelby, NC. In this critical leadership role, you will establish and sustain an ISO 55000-compliant asset management framework
, drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives, and lead a high-performing maintenance team. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is fully onsite.
- Develop and implement an ISO 55000-compliant asset management system aligned with business goals and industry best practices
- Lead and develop the asset care, reliability, and maintenance team
, ensuring a strong safety culture - Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for critical equipment and system failures
- Partner with operations, engineering, and safety teams to support plant reliability, safety, and compliance
- Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to maximize asset availability and minimize downtime
- Monitor and report KPIs related to reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and compliance
- Manage the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective execution of maintenance strategies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM Mechanical Integrity (MI) regulations,
API/ASME standards
, RAGAGEP
, NC state codes, and safety requirements - Support maintenance initiatives involving DCS, PLCs, robotics, and MES systems
- Identify, mentor, and develop talent to support succession planning and continuous capability enhancement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or asset management roles (chemical or process industry preferred)
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Strong experience with OSHA PSM MI
, API/ASME standards
, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) - Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action management
- CMRP certification preferred
- Strong leadership and stakeholder-influencing skills
