Position Overview
Part‑time position requiring both day and night shifts. Total hours per week: 24 (two 12‑hour shifts). There are no benefits.

- Provides personal care (ADL) including bathing, body mechanics, nutrition, elimination, safety, special procedures, housekeeping, and participation in interdisciplinary team conferences.
- Sterile dressing for wounds over 48 hours old; wound irrigation.
- Ostomy care or ostomy irrigation.
- Insertion of urinary catheter limited to replacement of an existing catheter once the Nursing assessment is completed (no irrigation).
- Oxygen therapy including room set‑up and monitoring of flow‑rate.
- Breaking‑up and removal of fecal impaction.
- IV fluid‑assisted activities (assemble/flush tubing during set‑up, monitor flow rate, site care/dressing change, discontinue peripheral intravenous infusions).
- Nutritional activities (oral/nasogastric infusions after placement verification by a licensed nurse, gastrostomy feedings, clamping tubes, removing oral/nasogastric feeding tubes).
- Sucheting (oropharyngeal, nasopharyngeal).
- Tracheostomy care.
- Insertion of urinary catheter limited to replacement of an existing catheter once the Nursing assessment is completed (no irrigation).
- Sterile dressing for wounds over 48 hours old; wound irrigation.
- Ostomy care or ostomy irrigation.
- Oxygen therapy including room set‑up and monitoring of flow‑rate.
- Interdisciplinary team participation and collaboration.
- LDHH cleaning of patient rooms per procedure, ensuring all areas are clean, stocked, and protected with proper chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Minimum 1 year experience required.
- Experience in home care, working with terminally ill and/or geriatrics preferred.
