Title

RN-Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry (Med Surg/Tele Onsite Contract). Duration: 13 weeks.

Start date:

7/27/2026.

Day Shift, 12 hours/day, 3 days/week.

Schedule:

06:45-19:15 or 18:45-07:15. Weekend: every other. Call: possible low census call. Holidays: 75% required. RTO:
Max 6 days (excluding holidays). 6‑week cycle.

Shelby North, NC 28150 (Shelby Hospital – 241 beds, Level 3 Trauma, Non‑Teaching, Certified Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center).

Unit:
Telemetry/Med Surg observation unit. Beds: 24. Average census: 24.

Experience:

18 months Med/Tele RN required. First‑time traveler accepted.

Cardiac, Respiratory, Neuro, etc. Fast‑paced observation unit.

RN: 1:5‑6 (up to 1:7‑8 during surge). CNA: 1:12.

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Cardiac rhythm interpretation;
Non‑titrating drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone);
Med/Surg care; IV starts;
Blood products;
Wound care;
Tubes/Drains.

CNA support;
No HUC;
Charge RN (resource);
Phlebotomy; IV/VAT team;
Respiratory Therapy 24/7;
Hospitalist (Day onsite / Night virtual);
Intensivist 24/7;
Remote telemetry monitoring.

EPIC (minimum 6 months experience);
Alaris pumps;
Omnicell;
Massimo monitors.

Region 3 within scope required. Paid travel time between facilities.

NEO + 2 days unit.

Scrubs:
Navy. Free parking. Positive unit culture. Clinical interview required. Floating requirement:
Region 3. On‑call possible low census call.
