General Pediatrics Extended Care- Weekender- NP​/PA, NC-

Position Overview

Pediatric Advanced Practice Clinicians are needed to join a hybrid virtual and extended care practice at Atrium Health Levine Children’s in the greater Charlotte, NC area. The role blends virtual primary care with in‑person after‑hours clinic work, providing full primary‑care services during evenings and weekends.

• Perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
• Document findings, interventions, and plans of care in the patient medical record.
• Carry out minor office‑based medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Prescribe medications, administer therapies, and order/interpret laboratory and radiology studies.
• Determine treatment plans for patients and act as a patient advocate.
• Participate in group meetings and contribute to policy development.

• At least 3 years of experience in pediatric primary care.
• Eligible for a DEA license and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Provider in the state of employment.
• Board certification or eligible for prescriptive authority in pediatric practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (valid for at least 90 days).
• Master's degree or doctorate in nursing practice; RN license required.
• Strong critical‑thinking, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.

Base compensation ranges from $47.50 to $71.25 per hour, with additional premium pay for shifts and on‑call duties and incentive pay for select positions. Annual performance increases are available.

The practice operates on both a virtual primary care and extended care platform, with appointments scheduled directly by patients. Clinicians transition from virtual care during the day to in‑person after‑hours clinics from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
