Role: Virtual Practice Support (VPS) and Extended Care (EC)

The APP will provide virtual visit coverage, inbox management, prescription refill requests, eVisits, and chronic condition management during daytime hours, supporting affiliated "brick-and-mortar" practices. The APP may also provide in-office coverage. In the evenings and weekends the APP will deliver shared in-person after-hours care (5-8 pm monday-friday, 9 am-5 pm saturday-sunday). The role offers a mix of virtual/remote and in-person care.

• Perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
• Record findings of examinations, assessments, and plan of care.
• Perform minor medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Write appropriate prescriptions and administer medications.
• Order and interpret daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determine treatment plan for patient.
• Document all patient encounters, record observations, interventions, and actions on the patient's medical record in a medically appropriate manner.
• Act as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attend, participate and contribute to group/practice meetings and develop policies and procedures when requested.

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds. Must speak English fluently. Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity. Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations. Schedule includes a mixed rotation of shifts covering weekdays, nights, swing, holidays and weekends, totaling >400 hours of weekend and/or night coverage per year.

Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Must be approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of employment. Eligibility for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC required. BLS required per policy guidelines with expiration date >90 days from date of beginning practice. Demonstrate appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.

Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP or PNP-AC board certification preferred for population served.

$51.05 - $76.60 per hour
