Night Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week
Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum
Location: Shelby North Carolina 28150
Duration: 13 Weeks
Clinical Interviewing- Yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days Weekend Rotation: EOW Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements: Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)

- 241 licensed beds
- Level 3 Trauma
- Teaching Hospital:
No - Certified Chest Pain Center
- Stroke Center
Unit Information:
- Beds: 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite and 1 PACU
- 4 to 6 patients on average/day
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years in Labor and Delivery - ability to work LDRP

Patient Ratios:
- RN:
Use AWHONN Staffing Guidelines- 1:2 Inactive labor; 1:1 Active Labor; 1:3-4 Couplets
- CST: 1 per shift
Required Licensure &
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP
Skills required:
- Labor and Delivery Nurse skills - labor management, circulate cesarean sections, Pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management
- Ability and willingness to work LDRP setting
Support within the Department:
- Charge nurse 24/7
- Phlebotomy:

Floating:
- Within region and scope of practice
- Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable
- Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH)
- If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
Orientation (facility and unit):
- NEO
- 2 days departmental
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Call:
Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days - Holiday Expectations:
Travelers will work 75% of holidays - RTO:
Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours - Shift times: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
