Youth Development Specialist

You will provide supervision, guidance, mentoring, and support to at‑risk youth, working with a dedicated team to help adolescents build better futures.

• Follow standard operating procedures, program policies and procedures, and client intervention processes.
• Interact with and supervise clients during daily activities to ensure their safety and security.
• Provide effective facility security, including conducting headcounts, room checks, and observing client movement.
• Observe client behavior and intervene appropriately.
• Use client intervention skills and Safe Crisis Management (SCM) techniques; monitor interventions and provide guidance to other employees as needed.
• Facilitate and document various groups or meetings; ensure all services are documented as required each shift.
• Support and promote the Sanctuary Model and its commitments.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed a non‑communicable diseases physical exam.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Successful completion of background screening and applicable pre‑employment checks.
• Must pass federal and state background checks, including for crimes such as drug‑related, violent, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.
• Computer proficiency with standard software used by the department.

Full‑time, shift: 3 pm ‑ 11 pm. Ability to work overtime as required.
