Youth Development Specialist
You will provide supervision, guidance, mentoring, and support to at‑risk youth, working with a dedicated team to help adolescents build better futures.
Responsibilities- Follow standard operating procedures, program policies and procedures, and client intervention processes.
- Interact with and supervise clients during daily activities to ensure their safety and security.
- Provide effective facility security, including conducting headcounts, room checks, and observing client movement.
- Observe client behavior and intervene appropriately.
- Use client intervention skills and Safe Crisis Management (SCM) techniques; monitor interventions and provide guidance to other employees as needed.
- Facilitate and document various groups or meetings; ensure all services are documented as required each shift.
- Support and promote the Sanctuary Model and its commitments.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed a non‑communicable diseases physical exam.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Successful completion of background screening and applicable pre‑employment checks.
- Must pass federal and state background checks, including for crimes such as drug‑related, violent, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.
- Computer proficiency with standard software used by the department.
