The Network Engineer Intermediate works on the Network Management team at the Indiana Office of Technology, managing network infrastructure for Indiana state executive branch and some non-executive branch agencies. The role involves design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network data communication equipment, with coverage for the southeast portion of Indiana east of Interstate 65 and south of Interstate 70. Responsibilities include day-two support for network repairs, standardization and optimization of network hardware and software, security management, and ticket system updates.
Keyqualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, remote access and wireless protocols
- Experience with Cisco routing, switching, wireless and/or remote access systems
- Advanced knowledge of multi-protocol services and network environments
- Current knowledge of security guidelines and best practices for network equipment deployment and management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in computer technology, networking, or related field
