Job TypeFull-time
Description Position PurposeThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role supports manufacturing by minimizing downtime and maintaining equipment reliability.
Position Functions- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on blow molding machines, robot arms, production press machines, and test benches/fixtures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, and related components.
- Support facility electrical systems, air compressors, cooling system, and utility equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform and document root-cause troubleshooting.
- Complete maintenance work orders and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and report status using the maintenance system (Maintain X).
- Perform maintenance tasks related to general facility maintenance.
- Follow safety rules, procedures, and company maintenance standards.
- Support general facility maintenance activities as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to weld.
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
- Basic computer skills, including work order systems data entry, email use and viewing documents and websites.
- Relevant technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred.
- Automotive manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Ability to work overtime when business requires a schedule change.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive work attitude.
- Attention to safety, quality, and detail.
- Ability to continuously move on the production floor with exposure to extreme temperature changes.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, crouch, and stoop continuously throughout a 10‑hour shift in an environment with varying temperatures, conditions, and moving equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to work safely around moving and noisy equipment.
- Ability to visually inspect machines, equipment, and parts.
- Ability to use sight and touch to perform maintenance and inspection tasks.
