Position Summary

Radius Aerospace manufactures sheet metal parts and assemblies for the aviation industry, using advanced metal‑forming and specialized processes across commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.

We’re seeking a Press Operator with strong mechanical skills, precision, and attention to detail to produce critical aerospace components. In this role, you’ll operate and monitor equipment, manage heat‑treating processes, perform setups and adjustments, inspect parts, assemble components, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers and production teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
• Control heat-treating furnaces, baths and quenching equipment to alter physical and chemical properties of metal objects, using specifications and methods of controlled heating/cooling
• Place parts in racks, trays, or baskets and places objects on conveyor or loads
• Determine temperature and time of heating cycle, and type and temperature of baths and quenching medium to attain specified hardness, toughness, and ductility of parts.
• Use standard heating charts, utilize knowledge of heat treating methods, equipment, and properties of metals.
• Start and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
• Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
• Fit and assembles parts into complete assembly.
• Verifie dimensions and alignment of assembly.
• Install machine replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
• Partner with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
