The New Model Quality Engineer (NMQE) is responsible for ensuring quality for new products in the pre-production/development phase. NMQE works closely with other engineering departments in development of tooling and molding process relative to part quality.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure timely development and launch of new products
• Utilize 3D software for part/fixture analysis
• Concept design and development of checking fixtures for new parts
• Development of inspection standards and testing plans for new parts
• Work closely with quality lab to confirm part accuracy
• Analysis of sample data, CpK, measurement system analysis, etc.
• Assess part quality and provide corrective action or tuning direction as needed
• Review and approve quality standards for outsourced components
• Coordinate with customer engineering representatives to ensure proper fit and function of new products
• Develop PFMEA and Control Plans for new product introductions
  
  Prepare and maintain PPAP documentation in accordance with customer and industry requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

Preferred discipline:
Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.

• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with vendors, customers, and internal teams
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer and supplier trials (including overnight stays)
