Project Engineer, Quality Engineering

Job Title

Essential Duties:

Perform in a combination of field, laboratory, and office work.

Work independently on various projects under the direction of a Department Manager, and additionally managing a team of direct reports or projects.

Manage a team of engineers and technicians, conducting construction inspection and testing services for Airport, DOT and LPA transportation projects.

Manage reporting of construction quality control activities on construction projects.

Train and supervise technicians and inspectors.

Manage the maintenance of the quality reviews and certifications.

Manage equipment inventory and calibration.

Perform various inspections and tests for public and private sector clients.

Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications to support the client.

Assist in coordination of field personnel, preparation of test reports and performing specialty tests and services for public and private sector clients.

Monitor quality control standards and specifications, read blueprints, and additional documents.

Additional duties as assigned.

Experience/Education/Training

Required:

Bachelors Degree (Master's preferred) in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.

3-5 years of construction material inspection and testing experience.

Passing FE (registered as EI or EIT) is ideal, or immediately pursuing certification.

P.E. preferred, but not required.

Prefer an ACI GRADE I and/or INDOT CTP’s.

Knowledge of civil and engineering principles, industry, and equipment; reporting, analysis and management of teams.

Must have good customer service skills, build relationships, manage multiple projects and remain quality focused. Must have technical skills and understanding of P&L.

Great oral and written communication, time management skills, and work well in a team setting.
