TheJob:
As the Process Engineer, you'll be an onsite employee, responsible for providing daily engineering support to manufacturing operations to resolve schedule attainment issues and improve efficiency. (Processes include CNC milling, forming, robotics, welding, punch, finishing, printing and packaging).You'll get to:
- Identify and resolve manufacturing process problems
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects
- Lead new product launches and CAPEX investments
- Lead new equipment Installations and existing equipment modifications
- Design new equipment, processes and procedures
- Liaison with suppliers, customers, and research & development staff
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, robots, and control systems
- Experience with a broad range of controls platforms, including legacy platforms of various brands such as "SLC 500" and "RSLogix 500". Can communicate with these controllers, including specialized hardware
- Proficiency in various IEC 61131-3 programming languages, emphasizing ladder and structured text.
- Minimum Entry-Level proficiency in computer programming languages, such as BASIC, C, and / or JAVA
- Update schematics for plant and facility equipment
- Experience implementing and using Virtual Machines to support legacy equipment where IDE software is not available or extant for modern operating systems. Working knowledge of MS-DOS, Windows 98SE, Windows NT and XP, etc.
- Experience with servo drivers, stepper drives, and other motion control
- Support development of other engineers and maintenance team on robotics training
- Serve as primary reviewer for incoming CAPEX automation projects, including runoffs and launches.
- Identify opportunities for automation improvements to meet plant efficiency and productivity goals
- Execute other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Controls or other related field
- 3+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering function
- Automation and controls experience (robots, vision systems, packaging, etc.)
- Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, TPS, Lean Manufacturing Methods
- Familiar with Quality Management Systems, ISO or similar
- Willing to travel occasionaly ( Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Experience with robotics (Fanuc, ABB, or similar)
- Familiarity with industrial networks
