Wieland is hiring a Materials Coordinator
. This Materials Coordinator is responsible for accurate receipt, identification, staging, documentation, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods. This role validates incoming copper-containing material against the grade and copper percentage purchased and initiates the downgrade process when material does not meet established specifications. In addition, this role will stage and ship materials to meet the customer requirements.
This role is located in Shelbyville and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay Range: $21.00 - 23.00/hr

Materials Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Material Verification
- Certified Copper-Containing Material Grading
- Shipping Preparation, Staging, and Documentation
- Warehouse Organization and Material Traceability
- Inventory and Transaction Accuracy
- Safety, Quality, and Operational Support
- Coordinate loading of material with proper weight distribution
- Other duties assigned with flexibility to work in other departments as needed
Materials Coordinator
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Warehouse, shipping/receiving, recycling, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Forklift qualification or ability to obtain company forklift certification.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret bills of lading, shipping instructions, labels, weights, material descriptions, and receiving documentation.
- Self-motivated person with problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP transactions, barcode or label systems, and common computer applications, or the ability to become proficient through training.
- Ability to perform basic calculations involving weights, quantities, percentages, and material variances.
- Ability to communicate discrepancies and grading decisions clearly and professionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics personnel.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work safely and effectively with limited supervision.
