Description

School Psychologist | School-Based See the whole child. Shape what comes next.

School Psychologists have a rare ability to turn insight into opportunity for a child. You're there for some of the most important moments students and families navigate — bringing expertise, clarity, and support to decisions that can shape what comes next.

At Thrive, we put that expertise at the center. We pair talented School Psychologists with strong multidisciplinary teams, innovative tools, and schools that value their thinking — because this work is about far more than completing evaluations or checking boxes.
** Thrive is on a mission to revolutionize the care of children with disabilities.
** We provide results-driven services and intelligent tools to support children's development, well-being, and health.

Why School Psychologists Choose Thrive Your expertise carries weight.

You're trusted to bring professional judgment, insight, and a whole-child perspective to decisions that matter.

You do work that changes trajectories.

Your evaluations are more than reports. You help families and school teams understand complex information and turn it into supports and opportunities for students.

You support the whole child.

Bring your expertise across learning, behavior, social-emotional development, and mental health — not simply eligibility and compliance.

You have a team behind you.

Work alongside educators, families, SLPs, OTs, PTs, behavioral specialists, mental health clinicians, and special education teams who value collaboration and learn from one another.

You have tools that extend your impact.

Thrive pairs clinical expertise with smart technology, resources, and systems designed to support better work for clinicians and students.

You can help shape what's next.

As Thrive grows, School Psychologists have opportunities to contribute beyond their individual work — through mentorship, specialization, leadership, and helping us build better ways to support students.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations assessing cognitive ability, academic achievement, social-emotional functioning, and adaptive behavior using appropriate standardized instruments
  • Evaluate for special education eligibility categories and translate assessment findings into clear, actionable educational recommendations
  • Write clinically rigorous, legally defensible psycho educational reports that are understandable to families, educators, and IEP team members
  • Lead or participate in eligibility determination and IEP meetings and complete re-evaluations within required timelines
  • Provide mental health consultation and crisis support, including structured threat assessment and safety planning when appropriate
  • Support RTI/MTSS frameworks, early identification, universal screening, progress monitoring, and problem-solving teams
  • Promote culturally responsive, equitable evaluation and referral practices
  • Collaborate with families, educators, clinicians, and multidisciplinary school teams
  • Maintain accurate evaluation records, service logs, and eligibility documentation in compliance with IDEA and state requirements
What You'll Bring
  • Ed.S., Ph.D., or Psy.

    D. in School Psychology from a NASP-approved or APA-accredited program
  • NCSP credential from NASP or active state certification/license in good standing
  • Active Tennessee School Psychologist certification or license in good standing, or documented initiation of transfer prior to start date
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, psycho educational evaluation methodology, and special education eligibility requirements
  • Bonus points for: school-based experience, structured threat assessment experience, culturally responsive or bilingual assessment methodology, and experience with RTI/MTSS data systems and progress-monitoring tools

Come Thrive With UsIf you're looking for a school psychology opportunity where your expertise is valued, collaboration is part of the culture, and you can help shape better outcomes for children with disabilities, we'd love to meet you.
