We install, monitor, and manage patented technologies, equipment upgrades, and proprietary energy software to deliver complete energy‑saving solutions across industries such as restaurant chains, assisted living facilities, retail franchises and more.
We are looking for a driven individual to assume the role of Senior Accountant. The successful applicant will engage in daily analysis of company projects and be instrumental in guaranteeing precise reporting of the company’s inventory.
Responsibilities- Monitors the general ledger activity and controls the closing for various inventory, prepaid and accrued accounts.
- Prepares journal entries in support of the month‑end close process.
- Prepares account reconciliations and other work papers with detailed analysis of monthly transactions.
- Prepares various management reports.
- Contributes to process‑improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of company reporting needs.
- Understands and articulates accounting processes clearly in meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Monitors and participates in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Performs other duties and assists in special projects as necessary.
- Minimum four years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize variances in accounts, investigate, and summarize articulate explanations for management review.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with proper procedures for month‑end cutoff transactions and reconciliation of sub‑ledgers to the general ledger.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Net Suite is preferred.
Shelton, CT
Hybrid ScheduleTuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on site. Mondays and Fridays remote.
Compensation$80,000—$90,000 USD. Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skill set, qualifications, and location.
