Tax Manager
We are a dynamic and expanding full-service accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our established team. In this role, you will lead tax engagements from start to finish, acting as a technical anchor and mentor for our staff.
We value autonomy and expertise; our Managers are expected to oversee complex projects and high-value client relationships with minimal supervision, serving as a vital link between our partners and our growing client base.
Your Impact
- Trusted Advisor:
Manage comprehensive financial portfolios for clients, collaborating with their legal and advisory teams to ensure holistic financial health. - Technical Quality Control:
Prepare and review intricate tax returns across all entities
- Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Trust, Estate, and Gift. - Strategic Tax Planning:
Design and execute high-level tax strategies for high-net-worth individuals and business owners to minimize liability and maximize growth. - Notice & Audit Defense:
Lead the response and resolution process for federal and state tax inquiries, ensuring our clients are expertly represented. - Leadership & Mentorship:
Drive a high-performance culture by training and leading a dedicated team of tax professionals. - Advanced Research:
Maintain a deep understanding of current tax code changes and communicate impactful insights directly to clients.
Requirements
- Experience:
7+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment. - Education:
Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting. - Technical Mastery:
In-depth knowledge of tax laws for complex entities; proficiency in Ultra Tax, Quick Books, and MS Office. - Soft Skills:
Superior analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the interpersonal skills required to interact with government agencies and financial institutions.
