Pay Range: $90,000 – $140,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

- Prepare accurate, timely cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for site work, mass excavation, underground utilities, paving, and restoration
- Develop and apply labor, equipment, and production rates
- Solicit, review, level, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Evaluate bid documents to identify scope gaps, risks, constructability issues, and schedule impacts
- Understand project logistics, sequencing, and execution requirements
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership to review estimates and pricing strategies
- Attend pre-bid site visits, preconstruction meetings, and client meetings
- Assist Project Management and Engineering with change order pricing and proposals
- Support effective handoff from estimating through project execution
- 5+ years of experience in Civil and Utility construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of site work, earth excavation, utilities, and paving
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred, but not required
- Experience using estimating software (
HCSS Heavy Bid, or similar strongly preferred
) - Strong understanding of construction costs, production rates, and engineering principles
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Knowledge of environmental or contaminated soil considerations
