GPI is seeking Senior Construction Inspectors to provide construction inspection services on various Road & Bridge Construction projects throughout the state of Connecticut for CTDOT, Turnpike, and Transit projects. Candidates will inspect work & traffic control performed by the contractor to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications. • Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
• Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
• Perform daily construction inspection of work activities, which may include the following:
• Collection of materials samples
• Field testing and sampling of concrete in accordance with ASTM standard procedures.
• Utilize field testing equipment to conduct in-place density tests of asphalt and/or soil

• BS in Civil Engineering, or a related field of study, or 4 years of experience with a NICET II
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Prior experience in performing construction inspection
• Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors
• Work Contractor hours, may include nights and weekends
• One or more of the following current certifications
• American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Construction Special Inspector and/or Concrete Field Testing Technician
• Asphalt Technician Certification (preferred)
• Hot Mix Asphalt Density Testing Inspector / NETTCP HMA Plant Technician
• NICET II
• OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training Requirements

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
