Automotive Service Clerk / Cashier

We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and customer‑focused Service Clerk/Cashier to join our busy Service Department.

ScheduleSchedule may vary based on department needs.
- Monday – Friday:
10:00 AM – 7:00 PM - Rotating Saturdays (every other): 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- No Sundays
Starting Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour

- Welcome customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Process payments for Service and Parts customers
- Accurately balance cash, credit card, and check transactions daily
- File repair orders, parts tickets, and related documents
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally
- Schedule service appointments
- Contact customers to confirm upcoming appointments and conduct follow‑up calls after service visits
- Maintain the customer waiting area, including coffee and refreshment stations
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support the Service Department
- Maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a busy office environment
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Enjoys helping customers and creating a positive experience
- Has excellent communication and telephone skills
- Is organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable
- Can effectively multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Possesses strong data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel experience is a plus)
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Takes initiative and looks for opportunities to improve processes
- Demonstrates professionalism, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
- Is flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate
- Ability to successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening
