A well-established, community-focused acute care hospital in the Shelton, Connecticut area is actively seeking a full-time Hospitalist MD to join its collegial and patient-centered inpatient medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive hospital environment known for clinical excellence and strong physician engagement. Position Overview- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients
- Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
- Collaborate closely with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary services
- Participate in a structured hospitalist schedule (block schedule model)
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition and coordinate higher levels of care when needed
- Ensure timely documentation and effective communication with primary care providers
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (or Family Medicine with hospitalist experience)
- Eligible for Connecticut State medical licensure
- Active/Eligible DEA registration
- Strong clinical and communication skills
