Salary

7 hours per day / 196 days per year (includes 11 paid holidays)
$32.34 - $37.25 per hour, dependent upon previous years of experience

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance benefits, as administered by the School Employees Benefit Board (SEBB). Final benefit eligibility to be determined at time of hire. Employees receive a VEBA benefit contribution, up to $105 per month, provided by the district. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Department of Retirement Services (DRS) SERS plan (classified employees), as well as the DRS Deferred Compensation Program.

Employees receive sick leave, personal leave, and paid holidays as outlined in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Position Description

The Grant Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating services and activities funded through assigned state, federal, tribal, local, or private grants. The coordinator serves as a liaison among students, families, staff, Tribal governments and organizations, community partners, funding agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure grant objectives are achieved, student and family needs are supported, and program requirements are met.

The primary assignment of this position is coordination and implementation of the District's Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program and Title VI Indian Education Program
. As the District's primary staff member assigned to these programs, the coordinator performs the program coordination, student and family support, identification and outreach, record keeping, compliance, reporting, and other functions necessary to implement both programs.

Specific responsibilities may change based upon grant requirements, student and family needs, funding levels, and District priorities. This position is contingent upon the availability of grant funding and continued program need.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree, 72 quarter credits, 48 semester credits, para educator certification, or equivalent experience as required for assignment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with Tribal students and families, migrant students and families, community organizations, and grant-funded programs preferred.
  • Positive existing relationships and connections with the Skokomish Tribe strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication, technology, data management, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, families, staff, Tribal representatives, community partners, and agencies.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule when necessary to participate in family, community, Tribal, or program activities outside the regular school day.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License and ability to travel within the District and surrounding community as required.
  • Criminal Justice/Fingerprint Clearance.
Essential Functions
Grant and Program Coordination
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of assigned grant-funded programs and services.
  • Work with the supervising administrator to monitor program goals, student and family needs, budgets, data, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate required grant applications, plans, reports, records, evaluations, and other documentation.
  • Monitor grant activities and expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets and applicable federal, state, District, and grant-specific requirements.
  • Collect, maintain, analyze, and report student and program data to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with District staff, families, funding agencies, Tribal and community partners, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and achieve program goals.
  • Coordinate grant-funded tutoring, mentoring, enrichment, family engagement, summer programming, and other student services and activities.
Title I, Part C Migrant Education
  • Coordinate the District's Migrant Education Program in accordance with the District's local program plan, State Service Delivery Plan, and applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Identify and recruit potentially eligible migrant children and youth, including outreach to families, schools, employers, agencies, and community partners.
  • Complete and maintain required eligibility and recruitment documentation, including Certificates of Eligibility, revalidation, and follow-up information.
  • Maintain accurate migrant student records and required state data system information, including enrollment, withdrawal, educational, health, and supportive-service data, and regularly review records and reports for accuracy.
