A Day In The Life
- Create 3-D models and 2-D drawings for multiple transformer product lines.
- Create detailed 2-D component and assembly drawings from customer and vendor drawings or models.
- Per engineer's general direction, produce and/or revise drawings.
- Maintain consistency in drawing layout and appearance per company standards. Ensure proper filing of issued drawings in both physical (if applicable) and electronic files.
- Provide feedback to appropriate engineers as to problems or questions related to work in progress.
- Resolve drawing related manufacturing and/or purchasing issues with appropriate plant personnel.
- Analyze dimension requirements and apply appropriate tolerance specifications as required.
- Provide working copies of drawings to engineers and production personnel as necessary.
- Acquire technical data via catalogs, the internet, vendors, to create models and drawings.
- Transform initial rough product designs or sketches into working models and documents.
- Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Must have at least 2 years of practical AutoCAD, Solid Works or Inventor experience.
- Experience with transformer manufacturing and practices is desired.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Familiarity with spreadsheets and other business applications is desired.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
