A bit about us:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to support and optimize our SMT manufacturing operations within a fast‑paced PCB/PCBA environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who thrives on the production floor and brings deep expertise across SMT processes, equipment, and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in driving process optimization, yield improvements, and operational scalability, while partnering closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

- Own and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including placement, reflow, and inspection
- Develop and refine reflow profiles to ensure product quality and process stability
- Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues in real time on the production floor
- Drive line optimization efforts to improve throughput, efficiency, and first‑pass yield
- Analyze defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across SMT operations
- Support process automation and modernization efforts to enhance scalability
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges
- Assist in validation and implementation of new equipment, materials, and processes
- 5–10+ years of SMT process engineering experience within PCB/PCBA manufacturing
- Strong expertise in SMT placement equipment and processes, reflow soldering & thermal profiling, troubleshooting SMT line issues and defects
- Proven experience with line optimization and process improvements, yield improvement initiatives, manufacturing data analysis and root cause problem solving
- Hands‑on, floor‑based mindset with the ability to drive solutions in real time
- Experience supporting automation and production scaling efforts
- ITAR eligibility required; experience working in an ITAR‑regulated environment is a strong plus
- Experience in high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume environments
- Exposure to AOI/X‑ray inspection systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
- Highly hands‑on, floor‑facing engineering role
